Touch Me (I Want Your Body)

“Full moon in the city, and the night was young. I was hungry for love, I was hungry for fun…”

Apparently when you’re born with the last name ‘Fox’, you’re destined to be a hottie pinup girl. Everyone these days knows about Megan. But only we 80s devotees also remember the original- Samantha.

After appearing topless on The Sun (UK)’s famed Page Three at age 16, Samantha spent several years modeling before deciding what she really wanted to do was sing.

In 1986 she released her first album, the demurely titled Touch Me, and the first single to hit the airwaves was the only-slightly-less-demure “Touch Me (I Want Your Body)”.

The poignant tale of one young woman’s quest for true love, the song featured young Miss Fox moaning and grunting her way through such heartfelt lyrics as “Like a tramp in the night, I was begging for you to treat my body like you wanted to.”

Ah, young love.

Yes we kid, but you gotta give it to her… she knew how to belt out a pop tune. And the fact that she just happened to be the hottest thing since Lita Ford didn’t hurt any.

In all, “Touch Me” spend 23 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #4 on Valentine’s Day 1987 (kinda poetic, no?)

As for Miss Fox, she’s still going strong today… still naked (she posed for a special Daily Star retrospective at age 42 in 2008) and still making music (she released a Greatest Hits album in 2009).

We ♥ Touch Me (I Want Your Body).
